New Products & New Services: Custom Murals, Anti-Glare Acrylic and More!

Fall is upon us! And if you’ve been following our blog and social media pages, then you know that we’ve had a ton of great new products and services recently. As we are entering out 7th month of restrictions due to COVID-19, we have all had to adjust how we live and work. And this is true at Big Acrylic. A good portion of our business comes from corporate accounts like hotels, offices, and dealerships. However, with more and more people working from home (our team included!), we have had to find alternative services to provide. And when life gives you lemons, you gotta make lemonade (or at least some custom murals and prints!).

Instead of burying our heads in the sand, we’ve used this time to create new products and services to make your buying experience the best it can be. Below is a round-up of our new products and services we offer!

Anti-Glare Acrylic

We love our acrylic prints. And we know that the shiny glare and reflective surface are part of that product’s appeal. However, there are some consumers that feel the reflection is more of a hindrance. Over the years we have received calls to see if we offered, or could offer, anti-glare acrylic. With the extra time afforded to us with COVID-19, we were able to test different anti-glare panels.

We came up with a product that offers excellent anti-glare capabilities, without dulling or losing the appeal of a traditional acrylic print. The vibrant colors, and crisp images are all still there, only now your print will be much easier to snap a photo of!

The anti-glare acrylic is perfect for artists, photographers, or designers who are looking to showcase their work under bright lighting conditions. There is no reflection from the panel, meaning that overhead lights, or natural light from a window will not reflect off the image. Additionally, anti-glare acrylic works wonders for estate agents or photographers looking to stage a home, as there will be no reflection to edit out of the photos.

We offer anti-glare acrylic in 1/8″ thickness and with float-off-the-wall and stand-off display options.

See What Your Photo Looks Like on Different Mediums

This is perhaps our most exciting new offering. Throughout the years, pretty much on a daily basis, we receive a call from a potential client asking us what the best medium would be for their photo. We would provide advice, and the customer would usually be satisfied with their purchase.

But, we wanted to go a step further. Now, with this new software, potential customers will be able to see their photo on all the materials we offer: acrylic, brushed metal, sublimated metal, and mural wallpaper.

This new software means we spend more time interacting with our customers. So, we can show them how truly passionate we are about our products and services. This unique service is available for anyone interested in purchasing, and it is entirely free!

How does the service work?

On our homepage, with a beautiful photo of a lemon tree, you can click our “Learn More” button. This link will take you to a page where you can upload your photo. Underneath of the uploader, there are a few samples to show you what you will receive. Or, to make it a little easier, you can click here.

Within a day, you will receive your files. And we can help you make your decision. We can also invoice you manually, so you do not have to order through the website. Confirm your receipt of the images, and confirm your selection of medium, and we can start producing.

Custom Murals

So maybe we lied, and this is actually our most exciting new offering. We are now offering custom wall murals! With our excellent customer service, new software, and high quality assurance, we can now create a custom mural that you will love. And, this service is very interactive. We will work with you every step of the way to make sure that you receive the best product possible.

Most wall mural sites offer patterns or images to choose from. However, we felt our strengths were better suited to bringing your photos to life. Alternatively, we can help you find and select a perfect photo from such sites as Adobe Stock, Shutterstock, Unsplash, or more!

Simply, select a photo, either of your own, or from Shutterstock. You can send us as many as you’d like, and we will see which one would work best.

Additionally, with the latest in image-enhancing software, we are able to turn a cellphone photo into a custom mural up to 180″ x 120″ large. Imagine, you can cover that dull bedroom wall with your favorite vacation sunset pic.

Also, using our software, we can send you some option of what your photo will look like as a mural. This way, you can get an idea of how your image will appear on a large scale.

What Hasn’t Changed?

Even with all these new services and products, we are still the same Big Acrylic. We are always available to talk about a project. Rarely will you ever hear an automated voicemail or operator. All calls are directed right to my own cellphone, even on weekends! We are here to discuss your project seven days a week.
